The BIG INDIAN ATV RIDERS, INC club was formed to
develop atv trails in the Skowhegan, Canaan and Cornville, Maine area.
The club was formed in April
2006 and to date has made great progress thanks to the dedication of many club
members. Working with the goal of a trail system that will be in place for many
years to come members have created a base that we can expand on that will take
us in many directions.
The state of Maine is committed to expanding the ATV trail system in the state
from our current 5000+miles of trail to 7000 miles with the goal of being able
to go from Kittery to Fort Kent on an atv. We are doing our part to provide the
necessary links in our areas.
We will be attending the
Skowhegan selectmens meeting April 28th to request the use of several roads
in town for ATV access. We would be coming from the Notch Rd, to Malbon Mills to
Dr Mann Rd to Waye St and coming out behind VIP. We are also working with CMP on
7+ miles of ATV trails coming from the Notch Rd
up thru Cornville, crossing 150, Molunkus Rd and coming out at the sub station
on E Madison Rd. We are lookng to establish a park and ride in the area of
E Madison Rd and Rt 201. Please email us with a few lines stating
your support of this access
